Exploding Iranian market for bread
Caused by governmental changes in the regulations for the
bread market BI is currently very active in the Iranian market.
Both interest from the market for industrial production of
local flatbread and European volumebread has resulted in
actual contracting of our services. In these projects under
difficult circumstances, BI will operate as a system integrator
for the whole project, from scratch (greenfield) till full operation.
IBEX 2009: Bakery Initiatives has successfully participated for
the 3rd year in a row, in ibex 2009, the International Exhibition of

Project Techniek trains Rumanian bakers
January 16, 2007
Market leading consultancy firm for industrial bread and pastry bakeries Project Techniek received Rumanian bakers in the Netherlands from 4 to 6 December for a bread production line operator training. This industrial line, on display in the NBC demo bakery, was acquired via Dubet (www.dubet.com) by a bakery in Rumania. Consulting on the technical aspects of bakery operations, Project Techniek was also asked to develop the bakery lay-out in Rumania and perform this project’s overall organizational management. This involves dismantling, transport, modification and installation of the production line as well as refurbishing the site in Rumania to accommodate an industrial bakery operation. Project Techniek provides on-site management of the contractors and installation firms that supply bakery plant construction, technology and engineering services, with project management including the bakery operational process and organization aspects. As the bakery in Rumania has no experience with industrial production, it was decided to invite a number of Rumanian bakers for an operator training in the Netherlands on this line before it was dismantled. Project Techniek prepared a three-day program, with Cees Holtzer supplying the bakery technical input. As course organizer Project Techniek provided on-site tours to the Rumanian guests at two bakeries. The purpose of the visits during the Monday night at the Van der Wal Jolink bakery and during the Wednesday night at the Visser bakery was to give the Rumanian bakers a first-hand impression of industrial bakery operations in the Netherlands. In January, the production line will be disassembled and packed for transport. Start-up at the new bakery in Rumania is scheduled for mid March 2007.
